Neil Nitin Mukesh sketched his look for Shortcut Romeo

When director Susi Ganesh wanted Neil to play the lead in his film SHORTCUT ROMEO his first instruction to the actor was that he wanted him to sport long hair in the film. Neil being a fine artist made sketches of his look with the long hair for the director’s approval and then zeroed in on the final look for the film.

Director Susi Ganesh says ”I wanted him to have long hair for the role so we asked him to wear a wig. He loved the look but said that instead of a wig he would grow his hair naturally long. He took all the trouble to grow his mane and he looked very different. We loved the look with the long hair and decided to go in with the look for the character.’

Dhanush’s ‘Maryan’ postponed?

Dhanush’s eagerly awaited Bharat Bala directed Maryan produced by Aascar Films which was scheduled to release on May 31, seems to have been postponed.

Trade sources have confirmed that so far the film has not been censored nor has any date been fixed for its release. All the big screens have booked Sasikumar’s Red Giants distributed Kutti Pulli censored with an UA certificate and confirmed to release on May 30.

As per production reports Maryan first copy is yet to be ready and film will take more time due to various other reasons. Maryan overseas rights are yet to be sold. It looks like the film has been pushed to June.

SP Balasubramanium sings for SRK

Legendary singer SPB is widely known as Salman’s voice in Bollywood. Now the ace singer is back in B town after a long gap, but this time for Shahrukh Khan. It is heard that the 66-year-old singer-actor-composer-producer has sung the title track of SRK’s Chennai Express. The team also released a 20 second clip of this track, which created a rage on viral.
Gautham Karthik begins Ala Modalaindi remake

His debut film Kadal might have received mixed reviews, but Gautham Karthik’s performance was applauded by one and all! While the actor is busy busy juggling between Sippai and Vai Raja Vai, he has also kickstarted another flick, which is a remake of Telugu flick Ala Modalaindi, which featured Nani and Nithya Menen in the lead.

The yet-to-be titled film is helmed by Ravi Thyagarajan, and produced under Ravi Prasad Productions. “First schedule of Ala Mudalaindi remake started today! Excited,” he tweeted.

If all goes well, this will turn out to be the biggest casting coup of the year. The latest buzz is that ace director Mani Ratnam is planning to cast Arvind Swamy (whom he introduced throughDhalapathy), Madhavan (Alai Payuthe) and Gautam Karthik (Kadal) in his upcoming flick. The Roja director is currently in Kodaikanal for a holiday.

When it comes to Superstar Rajinikanth anything is possible! We all know that the matinee idol recently sung a song for his forthcoming 3D flick Kochadaiyaan under the supervision of A.R. Rahman. Now the buzz is that the actor has sung the same song in the Hindi version also. The song is reportedly a recitation which is based on Superstar’s beliefs and philosophy.

The film is directed by Rajni’s younger daughter Soundarya R. Ashwin and K.S. Ravikumar has penned the story, screenplay and dialogues. The star cast also includes Sarathkumar, Aadhi, Deepika Padukone, Shobana, Rukmini Vijayakumar, Jackie Shroff and Nassar.Kochadaiyaan is produced jointly by Eros International and Soundarya.

Actress Sana Khan goes absconding

Sana Khan, who has acted in films like ‘Mr.Nookayya’, ‘Kalyan Ram Kathi’ and ‘Gaganam’, has landed in a new controversy.

A case has been filed on her for the alleged attempt to kidnap a 15 year old girl for not accepting her cousin’s proposal of marriage. She has been accompanied by four others, and they have been arrested. But the actress has gone absconding and the police are in search of her.

She is currently acting in Salman Khan starrer ‘Mental’. She has been not attending the shoot for a few days, and the shoot is said to have been disturbed because of her.

‘SMS’ fame Sudheer Babu’s upcoming romantic comedy thriller ‘Prema Katha Chitram’ will be releasing on June 9th.

Nanditha is the lead actress in this film. Maruthi has provided the story and dialogues. He is also producing the movie along with R.Sudharshan Reddy under R.C.A.Creations and Maruthi Talkies banners.Interestingly June 9th is Sunday and it is very rare that a Telugu movie releases on Sunday.
